The Facebook Blues

What can I say? I just joined Facebook. It's been 45 minutes now and nobody likes me.

But I haven't tried Andy as a friend yet. I've been told that he's the Emperor of the Facebook. I know for certain that he's the Master of the Gooble. Still, what I heard about him being the Emporer of Facebook may just be rumor. He may not even be on Facebook for all I know. But if he is, and if I like him and he likes me back, I bet I'll have 1000's of friends. Andy, if you read this, just remember that I liked those tater chips you were raving about. I went right out and bought a bag.

And there's Scooney and Buck and Deb and Staci and Inno and Jeanne and George. Gee, I wonder where they all are...

They're probably not on Facebook or they'd be my friends. Oh well. Nobody likes me. I can live with it. There's always Alice. Not the one with the restaurant, but this one...

In Spite of Ourselves

Problem With Limits on Things? Just Raise Them.

I got this in an email from my HS pal, Bob Bell. The logic of raising the limit is ridiculed via analogy. 

Gone Fishin'

Yup. It's true. There's life outside of the Internetz. So, I been doing other things.

Joyce finished her chemo at the end of May and soon after that we took a trip to TX to visit our son and his family.

Did some fishing out there in TX.

Watched movies and TV. Became an adequate player of the Green Lantern video game.

Started walking a mile or two a day at least four days a week.

Did a lot of reading (good old junk reading, my favorite kind).

Discovered a thriller writer I enjoy, Lee Child. I've devoured about seven of his "Jack Reacher" novels now. They keep you turning the pages.

We're going to Orlando with Barry and his family later this summer and we'll visit Joyce's brother who lives in Tampa and my aunt who lives in Lakeland. Because of this and some other hot weather projects, my posting here at the old CP through the rest of the summer will be very intermittent.
