My uncle flew Corsairs off of what he called a "jeep" carrier in the Pacific at the end of WWII. I'm going to do a post on those two planes one of these days. But I learned to HATE that airplane back in the '60s when it was used to evaluate radar coverage on weekly test flights called PEGE (Performance Evaluation Ground Environment) and pronounced like the girl's name. MUCH work ensued if one failed one of those flights and that damned T-33 had an absurdly low radar cross-section. I'd venture we (the radar guys) failed about a third of those flights.

Thanks, Dan. ;-)Buckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05319116022465066060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7867112187125913607.post-27455496620109983092012-11-30T23:44:32.090-06:002012-11-30T23:44:32.090-06:00I agree, Scooney. He was a former WWII fighter pilot still sharp as a tack. One day we were just talking and he told me he had never seen an ugly airplane! I kinda think he was right.Scooney Adrifthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09014731857174355364noreply@blogger.com
