Strawberry Capitol of the Universe!
...Hammond, LA! Strawberry Capitol of the Universe!

Interesting...The Lions! I guess they picked that mascot to fit in with LSU's Tigers.

We have a young lady friend (was a girlfriend of my #3 son back in high school here in Bossier City) that is finishing up her degree there.

She dropped by the house last summer to visit with us. She just loves the U. Her field of study is some kind of science involving children, but I can't remember exactly what she told us.

I'm old! The rememberer doesn't work so well these days.

Dan...this rain is glorious! And, I figure it's heading your way. Enjoy!Andyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10945901944078164054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7867112187125913607.post-17378821118531806122010-04-07T17:28:53.103-05:002010-04-07T17:28:53.103-05:00Thanks Andy. Glad you got a laugh out of it. Most ...Thanks Andy. Glad you got a laugh out of it. Most of the pollen in the pic is big enough to see individual spores (?) but there's a ton of this really fine dusty stuff mixed in too.
I've been by your blog several times too, but haven't commented. I will make myself known the next time. By the way, My first teaching job was for one semester in Hammond at Southeastern La. State Univ. back in 1963. I hope the rain there washes all the yellow stuff away.Dapper Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01230099347154360809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7867112187125913607.post-45178405140532697222010-04-07T17:04:32.601-05:002010-04-07T17:04:32.601-05:00Heh! I'm a regular at Patrick's place.

I've enjoyed your blog, but never really had anything to add. When I saw that, it just made me literally spew Diet Coke.

I'm stealing the image and sending it to my Daughter-in-law's mother in Jellico.

btw, it's the same dang way here in Louisiana. We are FINALLY getting a rain storm as I type. There shall be yellow pools by tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the chuckle!Andyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10945901944078164054noreply@blogger.com
