Fats was the very first R&B guy I ever heard. The year was 1957; I was 12 years old at the time. It's no exaggeration to say that was a life-changing event... coz it was.
Buck, Fats probably changed a few other lives as well. I always put him right at the top with Elvis during those years. Most of my friends would've agreed.

The Blues post was an exception.
